Truly a unique and outstanding island property on Whitefish Bay, Lake of the Woods. You can park your boat, walk up twelve stairs, and into the cabin which sits right at the water's edge. In addition to the main cabin complex, there is a guest cabin, storage shed, electricity from the mainland, a sand beach, and more!
The main cabin, solidly built on bedrock, includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. This room features a stone fireplace and has amazing views. Sliding doors lead to the open deck, and stairs to the floating dock which has a built-in personal watercraft drive-on dock. Under the cabin is a storage/workshop area with a washer/dryer, two upright freezers, and a fridge.
Next to the main cabin, there is a covered boat port from which you access a guest sleeping space which has one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a second, separate guest bedroom.
A stone pathway leads up to the hexagonal guest cabin which is located in the heart of the island. This self-contained cabin has one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Next to the guest cabin is a good-sized vegetable garden, currently being used for a trampoline.
Enjoy the sun and swim in the clear waters of Whitefish Bay from the southwest-facing sand beach. A well-groomed walking path follows the outer edge of the island, most of which has a flat stone walkway.
There is an underground sprinkler system throughout the island, easy to use with a dedicated water pump and timing system. Plenty more room for storage of large items like canoes and kayaks in the large shed/workshop. The floating U-shaped dock has an approx. 11'8 wide boat slip. Nice trees on the island, including several very large, old-growth white pines.
Services include: electricity from the mainland (200 amps in the main cabin and 100 amps in the guest cabin), lake-drawn water with triple filtration and UV light, electric baseboard heating, air conditioning in all living spaces, and two septic systems.
